Wells, formed a partnership to distribute ice cream in Sioux City, Iowa, and in 1935 choose the name "Blue Bunny" for a new ice cream as the result of a contest. The name, and the ice cream, proved overwhelmingly successful. Wells Dairies, now located in Le Mars, Iowa, is the world's largest manufacturer of ice cream in one location.
